Variant ATEX Bars
Variant for EX1250 antistatic bars with ATEX certification
The E3111-EX is designed specifically for the use with the ex-proof Antistatic Bar EX1250. The difference to the standard HV power supply E3111 is only in technical constraints and fuse with regard to the follwong specifications: the E3111-EX is limited to 20 VA power consumption and 5mA output; output voltage is +/- 6 kV with a max. peak at 7,75 kV. The fuses are laid out for 800 mA at 115V and 400 mA at 230 V.
NOTE: the power unit itself is NOT ex-proof and requires installation outside the hazardous area. The max. allowed current for the ATEX certification is 5 mA. Consequently, per power unit a maximum of 30 m cable minus 1,5 times the length of the bar(s)*. This equates for example to:
- 2 antistatic bars of 1 m length and each with 11,5 m cable
- 3 antistatic bars of 1 m length and each with 7 m cable
- 4 antistatic bars of 0,75 m length and each with 5,5 m cable
- etc.
